Curious. How did you make your homemade potato chips?

Its been a long time since Ive made the chips, but they were either hand sliced thin or with a mandolin but we did them in olive oil in a cast iron skillet, and a little sprinkle of salt. I can see if there is a recipe similar somewhere online, but it was rather simple. With so many great chips out there, its not worth the mess of oil anymore.
